Terms of Use

Social Chain, Ukraine · This document is provided in English.

These terms are the agreement between you and Social Chain, Ukraine for the Social Chain app. By using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

1 · Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into this agreement. If your country sets a higher age for consent to data processing, that age applies to you.

2 · Licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, sell, rent, sub-license, reverse-engineer or modify the app, except where that restriction is void under applicable law.

This licence is granted on the terms of Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula), as extended by these terms. Where the two conflict on use of the app on an Apple device, the Apple EULA governs.

3 · Apple

This agreement is between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.

Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; support is ours, at info@socialchain.world.

If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.

We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the app — product liability, a failure to conform to a legal requirement, or a claim under consumer protection or privacy law — and for any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.

You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

4 · Your key

Access is by a single generated key. It is issued to one person. Do not share, lend, sell or transfer it — anyone holding it can enter as you until it is revoked, and you are responsible for everything done under it.

There is no email or password, and no automatic recovery. If you lose your key, we may not be able to restore your account.

5 · The experience

Social Chain runs in seasons with phases. You answer signals, may be drawn into a rare window and asked for camera proof, help clear traces, enter duels, keep a journal, craft, and contribute to a season's ritual.

We may start, pause, extend, shorten, interrupt or end a season, and may change, add or withdraw mechanics at any time. Outcomes are not guaranteed and some content is ephemeral by design.

6 · In-app items

Fragments, dust, cards and every other in-app item are earned in play. They are a licence to use them inside the app, not property, they have no monetary value, and they cannot be exchanged for money or transferred outside the app.

The app has no real-money purchases and no subscription. If purchases are ever added, they run through the App Store, Apple handles the transaction and any refund, and separate terms will be presented before you buy anything.

7 · Proof rules

Proof is camera-only. A proof photo must show a safe object — never a face, never another person's private information, never a minor, and never anything unlawful.

Helping clear a trace is a judgement about a photo, not a public judgement of a person. When you are unsure, leave it untouched.

8 · Conduct — zero tolerance

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive behaviour. You agree not to:

harass, threaten, impersonate or harm anyone, in Whisper or anywhere else in the app;
send or submit hateful, sexual, violent, discriminatory or unlawful content;
photograph other people, faces, private data or minors;
try to identify, track, expose or contact another player outside the app;
share, sell or trade access keys;
cheat, automate, exploit, probe or bypass any security or economy control, or interfere with the service.

9 · Reporting and enforcement

Every Whisper thread carries a safety menu: mute, block, report, or report and block. Anything else can be reported to info@socialchain.world with your support code.

We review reports of objectionable content or abusive users promptly and take appropriate action, including removing prohibited content and, where warranted, restricting or revoking access. We may act with or without notice — limiting verification access, ending a session, revoking a key, or blocking access — to enforce these terms or protect people in the field.

10 · Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and text you submit. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process and display them inside the app as the experience requires — a proof to its verifiers, a message to its recipient — and to keep them as long as safety or these terms require. We do not make your content public and we do not use it to advertise.

You are responsible for what you submit and confirm you have the right to submit it.

11 · Privacy

Our Privacy Policy — alongside this document in Settings — explains what personal data Social Chain processes, why we process it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights available to you.

12 · Availability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uptime, uninterrupted seasons, or preservation of any in-app item or record, and we may modify or discontinue any part of the service.

13 · Termination

You may stop at any time and delete your account in Settings → Access & Safety. We may suspend or terminate access as described in section 9. On termination your licence ends immediately; the sections that by their nature survive — content licence, disclaimers, liability, governing law — continue to apply.

14 · Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost data or lost in-app items.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any right you have under mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.

15 · Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes go to the competent courts of Ukraine — except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.

16 · Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes are identified by a new effective date and, where required, brought to your attention before they take effect. Questions: info@socialchain.world.
